Founded in 1937 as the Government Trade School, it is the first institution to provide professional technical education in Hong Kong. It officially gained universitet status in 1994, marking its transition into a world-class research institution. Strategically located in Hung Hom, the universitet is famous for its unique red-brick architecture and its iconic Innovation Tower designed by Zaha Hadid, completed in 2013.
